How Counterpart handles your information.

Counterpart is a small advisory practice. This page explains what we collect when you use counterpart.media, why we collect it, and what happens to it after.

Effective June 2026.

What we collect

The only personal information Counterpart collects through this site is what you choose to submit through the contact form. That includes your name, email address, company, the option you selected describing your role, and anything you write in the optional message field.

The form is hosted by Tally (tally.so), a third-party form provider. Tally stores submissions on its servers and forwards them to Counterpart. Tally's own privacy practices govern its handling of that data. You can review them at tally.so/help/privacy-policy.

The site also loads typefaces from Google Fonts and an embed script from Tally. These services may receive basic technical information from your browser, such as your IP address and user-agent string, as a standard part of loading their resources. Counterpart does not control or receive this information.

Counterpart does not use cookies on this site. Counterpart does not currently use analytics software. If that changes, this page will be updated and the change will be effective from the date noted at the top.

Why we collect it

The information you submit through the contact form is collected for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry. Counterpart does not use it for marketing, does not add it to mailing lists, and does not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Where it goes

Submissions sit in Tally and are forwarded to Counterpart by email. They are not added to a CRM, a marketing platform, or any external system. They live in two places: Tally's storage and Counterpart's email.

Counterpart does not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information with third parties. The only exception would be if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or regulatory request.

How long we keep it

Counterpart keeps contact form submissions for as long as is reasonable to respond to the inquiry and maintain a record of the exchange, typically not longer than two years from the date of submission. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Confidentiality

Counterpart's positioning depends on discretion. We do not publish, share, or reference the names of people, companies, or specific inquiries we receive, with anyone, including in marketing materials or on social media, without explicit permission. This applies whether or not an engagement follows the inquiry.

Your rights under PIPEDA

Counterpart is a Canadian business and is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form on the main site and indicate that the inquiry is a privacy request. Counterpart will respond within 30 days, the timeframe specified by PIPEDA.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Changes to this page

If Counterpart's privacy practices change in any material way, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
